Welcome to Sit Now Stay’s Programs and Pricing page! We understand that every dog and owner is unique, and that’s why we offer a range of programs to suit your individual needs. Our programs are designed to help you build a strong and lasting bond with your furry friend while also addressing any behavioral issues or training goals you may have.

We offer a variety of programs including including Private Lessons, Boarding School, Day School, Puppy Training, and more. Our experienced trainers use the latest behavioral research and scientific methods to help your dog learn new skills and behaviors in a fun and engaging way.

At Sit Now Stay, we believe that every dog deserves quality training, regardless of their breed or age. That’s why we offer flexible pricing options to fit your budget. Our pricing is transparent and straightforward, and we never charge hidden fees or expenses.

Programs Available:

Puppy Training

Puppy Zoomies: $300

This program got it’s popularity when the pandemic hit and clients loved it so much we didn’t want to stop offering it. This program includes three 1-hour zoom lessons to cover everything puppy. We will build off of each lessons and continue to advance your knowledge of puppy training. There are also several videos you will be sent to help you work on your homework in between your lessons. As always, support will be available in between your lessons. We are just a text away for all your puppy support needs. Program only available to puppies that are 6 months old or younger.

Puppy Preschool: $425

This program is an oldie, but a goodie. This includes 3 lessons in your home. They expire after 6-months. After each lesson you will get an email summarizing what you learned about and explaining your homework. You will also get videos to help you accomplish your homework. This program requires a SIGNIFICANT amount of work on your end. Be sure to keep in constant contact with your coach if you are having any troubles or hiccups! This program is eligible for discounts into our beloved Day School and Boarding School programs if you would like to advance your dog’s training or if you are planning a vacation later in the year. Program only available to puppies that are 6 months old or younger.

Private Lessons

In this program the entire education and success of your dog will depend on your sessions working with the dog in between your lessons. Several families start with this program and move into a Day Train or Boarding School program later to advance desired behaviors. Your trainer will discuss with you methods, techniques, and
philosophies of dog training. You will receive educational videos, materials, reading recommendations, and more from your trainer to help you in your dog training journey.

This program requires a very solid time commitment from you and your family along with a very structured management plan while you are training your dog. The more you communicate with your trainer about the challenges you are having, the more successful you will be. You can always purchase additional private lessons if needed or transition into one of our Day Train or Boarding School programs if you wish for additional help for advanced distraction training. You can make any single lesson at a remote location within 20 miles of Lenexa facility (i.e. your home, park, etc) with Trainer’s approval for additional Travel Fee of $50 per lesson.

Acclimation Days

A great opportunity for your dog to get to know us and for us to get to know your dog before we begin formal training. We offer this unique program for dogs that may have a bit of difficulty being away from home or their owner. This program is designed to allow your dog to come and spend the day with the trainers. Learning new games and becoming more comfortable with our training facility. New environments can be challenging for dogs that have not had much exposure and socialization outside of their home. Especially with the pandemic we are seeing more and more dogs struggle with changes to their day. Using acclimation days we can better prepare your dog for their training. You will drop your dog off between 7a-9a and pick up between 4p-7p. At the end of each acclimation day you will receive a report card with a photo or video explaining what your dog did with the trainers and how they are progressing. Acclimation days can be added onto any program. At the end of the Acclimation phase you will receive an Acclimation report summarizing all of the trainers’ evaluations and recommendations for your dog’s training. This will be emailed to you and you may schedule a 15-minute phone Acclimation Review if you wish to discuss the evaluation or recommendations further. The link to schedule a phone call will be in your acclimation report. This report will be emailed to you by 5pm Friday.

Acclimation Pricing

Single Day: $45
3-day: $135
5-day: $225

Please note, if you are unable to transport your pet to and from our facility everyday for acclimation, we do offer overnight stays during their acclimation. Overnight Acclimation $85/Day (includes boarding, acclimation, and acclimation report)

Day School

A blend of both worlds, this program combines professional training at our facility, private lesson support, and our beloved Graduate Classes. This program is perfect for dogs who need a little polishing on leash manners, impulse control, overall obedience development and more. Dogs enrolled in this program work throughout the day with our trainers to develop great counter behaviors, solid communication skills, conditioning of any training equipment desired, and much more. Your dog’s specific training goals will be the target of their training.

Duration of Day Camp is unlimited with a minimum of five days in office. This program is conducted much like doggie daycare and is available Monday-Friday. You may drop your dog off anytime between 7a-9a and pick up between 4p-7p. You will receive a report card each day with a summary of what your dog worked on. Please note when you pick up your dog in the evening, the trainers will most likely be in other lessons and your dog may be brought up by one of the K9 handlers. The K9 handlers care for your dog during the day, but will most likely not have feedback on your dog’s training throughout the day. Please refer to your report card.

Day School Programs

5-day Program includes 3 days of acclimation, 2 private lessons, and 12 Graduate Classes $960
10-day Program includes 3 private lessons and 24 Graduate Classes $1650
15-day Program includes 4 private lessons and 36 Graduate Classes $2475
20-day Program includes 5 private lessons and Unlimited Group Class $3300

Boarding School

7 day Boarding School: $1475 per dog

A favorite for those who need a great start to their dog training. This board and train program covers engagement work, the development of markers for clear communication, impulse control exercises and counter behaviors, and the development of a good work ethic. This is a wonderful program for new adoptions, those who need to give their rambunctious and happy pup some structure, and for owners who like the idea of regular lessons following training. You will dramatically improve in overall focus and your pup will perform exceptionally well in session with you. Later on we will help you solidify this success around tough challenges, distractions, and more. This program includes management recommendations, supportive materials or necessary equipment, one in-office private lesson, and 24 graduate classes. The day your dog is ready to come home, you will have your private lesson with a trainer at the facility. You may purchase additional private lessons at a discount cost of $100/lesson

14 Day Boarding School : $2475 per dog

This is by far our most popular program. Majority of dogs fit well into this program and do exceptionally well. Many dogs leave this program walking very well on a leash in and around the public, greet guests politely, stop jumping, and listen very well, even around distractions. This program is ideal for you and your dog if you are limited on time and want your dog to be reliable with some relationship building and focus exercises completed by you after the training. Your dog will begin foundation work of off-leash training. This program includes two in-office private lessons and 48 of our beloved Graduate Classes. The day your dog is ready to come home, you will have your first private lesson with a trainer at the facility. You may purchase additional private lessons at a discount cost of $100/lesson

Make My Dog Amazing Gold Star (21-Day Boarding School) $3475 per dog

This program works your dog through the seven days of foundation work, seven days of introducing distractions, and the last seven days with more challenging distractions, repetition, reliability, and challenging environments. After they get some practice at home and solidify their relationship and engagement games with you, they will walk great on leash, be able to ignore dogs and other people while out in public, be able to go to their dog bed when a guest arrives and stay there until you release them, come when called with high distractions, and work reliably off leash. We don’t expect dogs to complete these tasks with expertise immediately when they arrive home from school, but definitely with some practice at home. This program is perfect for families who love to take their dog to different places and spend time with family and friends. This is by far our MOST LOVED program. This program includes three private lessons and Unlimited Lifetime Admission into our Graduate Classes. Students who attend our Graduate Classes have the most long term success. The day your dog is ready to come home, you will have your first private lesson with a trainer at the facility. Your follow up lessons will be schedule at your convenience. Our Gold Star program is also perfect for families looking to make their dog a Therapy dog. It includes an AKC Canine Good Citizen Test at your request. This test is a sociability test that is required by many schools and hospitals for therapy dog work. You may purchase additional private lessons at a discount cost of $100/lesson

Full Payment is due on the first day of your dog’s training program

We can accept cash, checks, and credit cards. When scheduling your appointment we ask to store a credit card on file to hold your training spot. If for any reason you decide to cancel we will cancel your reservation for a 10% fee. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept payment plans. Dog Trainers have learned the hard way over the years to not send home a fully trained dog or not take in a dog without full payment.

Unfortunately we sometimes do not get paid for training and even worse we have had people enroll their dogs in our program with partial payment and we never see them again and have a new dog for ourselves.

Sit Now Stay has been a lifesaver! Our dog benji has struggled for boarding and play at other places due to inexperienced staff and overwhelming rooms packed with dogs; The knowledgable trainers and calm demeaner at Sit Now Stay completely diffuses our concerns and gives us peace of mind knowing he is in good hands. My boyfriend and I have struggled with our dog Vida’s reactivity for a couple years now. We have been blown away by the progress made since working with the trainers at Sit Now Stay. I love the way the group works as a team to figure out what would work best for each individual dog. We talked through a couple of different training routes based on their recommendations and ended up starting private lessons. Working with Sara has been nothing short of amazing. Not only do I see improvement in my dog, but also in myself as a handler, and Sara has equipped me with the skills to be more confident and in control of Vida. She is great at explaining what to do but also why we’re doing it which helps us a lot. My relationship with my dog has improved so much, and I always look forward to our next lesson with Sara and practicing at home. We have also had Vida do a day of Muscle Mutts with them and plan to do more in the future. Every trainer we’ve spoken with has been wonderful and are all clearly very qualified and exceptional at what they do. I would highly recommend for anyone struggling with a reactive dog to give Sit Now Stay a call. We are so happy we did!

I'm super happy with the things I have learned about dock diving! I had originally done this many years ago with cattle dogs and they tend to be naturals without needing a ton of help. When I got my Rat Terrier and Beauceron, they were good swimmers but needed guidance on actually jumping off the dock. Our Beauceron got his first dock junior this weekend and our Rat Terrier is almost there! Big thanks to Sara for being helpful and answering questions when I have them! :) Thanks again!

Our new puppy just finished Puppy Preschool. Our trainer Kat was amazing. She came to our home and helped us to learn how to work with our puppy in his environment. She listened to us and what we are hoping to accomplish with our newest family member. She explained the purpose of particular trading techniques. She demonstrated each technique and coached us as we tried to replicate the same technique. Finally Kat gave us “homework” to practice between sessions. We had such fun with the homework! We are over the moon with the progress our puppy has made and look forward to enrolling in the Graduate classes.

I initially brought my cattle dog in for the 5 day board and train to help build his confidence and decrease anxiety. The consultation went smoothly and the assured me they were knowledgeable in herding dogs and the trainers gained my full trust. Brooks and I also participated in follow up classes and he attends the Muscle Mutts on days I can’t be home with him. He is always more than excited to attend and I enjoy receiving report cards telling me about his day. I can definitely say our relationship as an owner/dog has improved tremendously and I highly recommend their services!
